River Cam Punts

By whoami2b
Hi all,

Another Cambridge photo - this one I took from Magdalen Bridge (?). I don't know how to get a good looking sky in these snow shots but I like the rest of it a least. Smile

Cambridge wouldn't be Cambridge without the punts. Its not that often you see them with snow. Very good shot.

As you say would be great with a nice blue sky, but that would not be what you saw or recorded. Do not beat yourself up about it. I for one do not mind enhancing and tweaking pictures, but I do not like so much tinkering it is more a question of how good you are on the computer over how goos you are with the camera

A more interesting sky would enhance the picture, but I still like it. As an aside, my cousin was punting towards the camera, so to speak, and decided to push nearer to the bank to make way for several punt-loads of Japanese tourists. Unfortunately a branch on the tree snagged his jacket and the punt continued forward without him. He lost a brand new pair of specs in the water but took his ignominious ousting with good humour. The grinning tourists filmed the proceedings and I wonder if we all appeared on Tokyo TV that night.

Ps - you could try cropping the image just below top of said tree, it looks like it could work.
