Roach End Barn

From the archive. I had hoped to go back here today and photograph the scene in the snow, but sadly a dull grey bank of cloud rolled in from the west early in the afternoon and I didn't think it was worth the 2hr round trip. Unfinished business.

Essence of place. There's a nice square crop to be had I think from the left side of the frame too, more intimate.
The Peak District never seems to have got the hang of how to build dry stone walls to last, has it. Just long piles of rubble...
