This is what yesterday's fence is guarding, works to repair the course of a river running under the main road through Arganil. A project that will last to January next year. the lady on the right appeared to be the boss. Two versions.

A branch line of the underground? That's certainly some trench. It looks like you had a good vantage point, as I can't see any fencing in the way.
