Robin

By ron thomas
I have just bought a hide from www.thewildlifestudio.com and this is the result from my first "test drive". I have very rarely used hides in the past but this is so good that I recon it will get loads of use... IT IS EXCELLENT!

I just love irony. After I took this shot, I cleared away the hide, camera and log (with tray of maggots bought in from the fishing tackle shop) and mowed the lawn in the garden where the shot was taken. After I had finished, I put the log back in place and turn to go back into the house. The Robin returned, took more grubs and gave me such a look as I stood less than 2 feet away!!! Ho Hum.

You describe perfect reasons for attempting wildlife/bird 'togging Ron. So unpredictable - you never know what will happen next - and its great fun. I also have a Wildlife Watching hide. Its terrific.

Many thanks for your support Ron, and I'm glad you are pleased with your One Man Chair Hide! Wink

It's a cracking shot, especially as you only needed a 180mm. Smile

It almost looks as if you selectively coloured this one (but I know you didn't).

Well caught shot, and I like the off-centre, diagonal composition.
