Rochester - Part 3

By nellacphoto
Also titled: The Tattooist and Her Muse

After John (lifesnapper) and I split up on Thursday to find some photos, we had arranged to meet back at the cathedral to compare notes and get a coffee.
I was pretty happy with the two successes I'd already managed and got back before John
It was very sunny and I spotted a small bit of shade alongside the cathedral to shelter in till John arrived
I walked to it and found two young ladies sitting in the sun on a wall opposite me
They were both tattooed ... the blonde in particular
I walked over to them to say hi and compliment them on the tattoos
The smaller of the two (I think it was a "she") told me that the blonde was her tattooist. Perfect!
I told them about my tattoo section on my website and suggested some shots of the blonde girl
She was really reluctant. Didn't like herself in photos
I couldn't let this one go and tried everything in my power to persuade her
She let me take a few shots but kept looking down and away
Also the sun and shadows on their faces was awful and I tried to tempt them over into the shade
Her pal was much more relaxed ... but didn't have as many tattoos ... but I turned my attention to her and got her to come into the shade for a few shots
Finally the blonde joined us and with even more coaxing I managed to actually get her to look into the lens once or twice
Anyway It was a good bonus shoot to an already fun day

Yep, a worthwhile exercise indeed, Colin. Some good shots here.
Tattoo's and a cemetery somehow go well together, a slightly goth feel maybe?
Anyway, it was good to see you in action when I returned and was able to get a couple of decent shots of you.
(One of which may appear in a future upload.) Wink

All the best and happy togging,

Great set of images and one of the hardest thing when someone does not want to be photographed.
