Rock Graves

By PaulLiley
A view across Morecambe Bay from Heysham, North Lancashire with the Lake District hills beyond. In the foreground are a number of graves dug out of the rock which predate the Norman Conquest and the nearby ruins of the chapel dates back to the 8th century.

Really fascinating! Though something in which I am greatly interested, never knew of these graves. Well composed and captured scene too.

Good shot Paul, like the foreground and interesting write up but dont you think it would have much easier to have dug graves in the ground instead of rock? They liked making it hard for themselves lol! Smile
Regards Ricky.
Lovely colours in this interesting shot Paul.
