I have never seen one of these before, Bill, thank you for showing this one.
He's a proud looking little fellow, with his chest pushed out, lovely colours, too.

I only know of 2 species of bird. Anything with web feet is an Ar*e up duck, everything else is a Sh*te hawk.
You have captured very fine example of the latter i believe.SmileSmileWink And what a poser he is.

Not a common species,i have been trying to capture a pipit for some time(there are a pair in my local wood),but they never come within range and move around all the time.Makes this shot rather special,beautifully done i congratulate you.
