Rock Rose

By jujupops
Good Afternoon All

Hope you are all well and had a good weekend. I met some lovely EPZ'ers yesterday at Dungeness, Kent.....AnnChown, Sezz, The Wollybills, Dave87, JenBen, Ray42 & Sally.............oh yes, not forgetting Lifesnapper lol Wink We had a wonderful afternoon, although the weather was blowing a gale, but at least not raining. It was so nice to meet up with everyone and lunch was delicious Grin

My picture today was taken in the garden a couple of weeks ago, we have a little walled bit with low growing bits and pieces, and this Rock Rose is one of my favourites, I really like the rusty colour, and this year it has gone a bit mad, probably all the rain!!! Hope you like it too.

Many thanks for your votes and comments on my last upload, Fragrant Freezias, they are all so much appreciated (even though I spelt Freezias wrong lol!).

Not sure if I got anything worth putting up while we were in Dungeness yesterday, have had a look at what I took, but it's not looking good Sad

In the meantime, hope you all have a good week, and as ever, thank you so much for looking GrinGrin

Love Julie xx

So glad you enjoyed your meeting up with everyone, at least the weather was dry. A lovely rock rose, a nice rich colour.

A wonderful little sub shrub and you have captured the colour and details of one of its no doubt many flowers so well. These plants do grow to a larger spread than you'd guess from the size you get in a newly purchased pot so your one has probably just reached that stage this year! Probably a good plan to take some heeled cuttings and stick them in compost. Saved a lot of cash at the GC as well as being a good back-up in case anything happens to the original.

A beauty of a rose to have in the garden: interesting to read Ann's comments about it.
Very nicely captured in fine detail and vibrant but natural colour.

Hi Julie,
I'm back at last - late as usual!
Not at all surprised this is one of your favourites as it certainly would be one of mine.
I took a few photos of flowers at Dungeness later in the week; they just wouldn't stand still so I really had to be unnaturally patient Wink I'll post one or two later.
Great to see you and John once again!!!!!
