Rocky Mountain High

By MrsS
Hi All - welcome to the weekend! Smile

Yet another location from our trip North of the Border, and about time I treated you to a squarescape©! Smile

We ventured to Sligachan on a not too promising day, and wandered across a peat bog to the falls - this was taken from the bridge across the river that was built in 8 days by the army!

Just after I took this it started to bucket it down, so the plastic bag went over the camera, I pulled up my hood and wandered further upstream. Found the perfect spot with a belting composition, only to be totally beaten by the weather, which closed in and settled down for the day!

Guess who fell over in the bog on the way back to the car and had to sit on a towel all the way back to the cottage? Wink
(At least the midges don't hunt in the rain!) Tongue

Thanks for visiting - hope you like - have a great weekend Smile

I need to go and put some red wine in the beef casserole - be rude not to put some in a glass at the same time! Wink

Fran x

Good effort from what look like very flat conditions, Fran and well suited to the square format.

Cook's perks the odd glass of wine when cooking, it becomes serious drinking if you take the even ones as well.
This is seriously good Fran, hearty congratulations on the powerful composition and nice subtle colour.

A great shot, Fran. You clearly had better luck than I did in Skye this year.

I think the square format is not used enough in landscape work, and this excellent shot from you, Fran, is an example of it being used to perfection. Lovely work in every way.
