Room With a View

My final image from Lough Ree (East) Caravan Park, Ballykeeran, Athlone.

The great advantage of a motorhome is you can wake up every morning to a different view, quite often a sunrise over the harbour or as mundane as a supermarket car park! For this image I decided to illustrate how close the motorhome was to the edge of Lough Ree (2 metres to be precise). The water was very shallow near the edge so it was safe even for children to paddle in. I've used the window to frame the picture. Although I've stated this is digitally manipulated, it's pretty much a straight shot, all I've done is some tweeking and removed a light reflection from the window.

Many Many thanks for all the votes and kind comments on my previous 3 sunset shots, one of them ended up on an Italian website within days of being uploaded to ePHOTOzine - with a credit too!

A very original framing technique in V 1 which does work well for me.....guess getting the exposure right for both interior and exterior components was not so easy. And V 2 is a delightful shot for the family album.

Yes I took a total of 4 shots to get the exposure right, a little guesswork was required. After metering for the outside I just changed the power of the flash until I got the interior well enough lit.

4 very good shots indeed. V1.3 4 would stand up very well on there own and V2 is one for the album.

Love the framing in V! Andrew - what a sight to wake up tired eyes in the morning. And V3 and 4 simply beautiful.

What a clever shot. Like it a lot and it reminded me of several childhood holidays looking out of caravan windows. You've really got a great result in terms of fill flash/exposure. Thanks very much for stopping to look at my PF and commenting, cheers!Smile
