Rope, Ladder and Kingfisher Blues

By sut68
Taken last year overlooking the creek at Staithes in North Yorkshire.

I hadn't realised until I got back to where I was staying that in this shot was a Kingfisher perched on one of the ropes tied to the boat [near the prow] - obviously looking for breakfast. I looked at a shot taken about 15 seconds before this [with slightly flatter light] and a portrait version of the boat and ropes about 25 seconds after and the little bird was nowhere to be seen ... just good luck I suppose.

Cheers for looking,
Paul

You do like mud, don't you Wink

A curious yet strangely appealing image, especially due to the triangular composition I think.

Not really a mud fan Mr Gruff, I just know that messing about down at the coast is likely to hand you your fair share of it Wink

The converging ropes and light running through the image is what caught my attention ... glad it caught your eye too mate Smile

What a classy shot and you even painted the boat to match the Kingfisher Grin A brave composition but a winner in my book. Excellent, Paul, as usual.
