Royal Avenue Gardens

By TrevBatWCC
After leaving Totnes - and all the rain behind, the coach outing took us down to Dartmouth, and by the time we reached there, the weather brightened up, blue skies eventually appeared and the sun even shone!! I enjoyed my visit here back in 2001, so was looking forward to re-visiting this lovely resort. Long associated with the Royal Navy, the resort also features in the story of the Pilgrim Fathers and novels by Agatha Christie.
The coach dropped us off by the riverside, and across the road are these gardens, so had a wander around here first. I loved the sculpture in the lead, and thought it suited sepia the first version is the original colour shot, the rest of the versions are around the gardens.

Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw, tweaked in Nik Collection's Viveza 2 and Photoshop Elements 14.

Thanks again to everyone for your vote & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging 👍

A beautiful set Trev! The lead a smal favorite. So nice with the mono to that picture!

Sepia definitely suits the charming statue Trev.
Wonderful gardens - you always find so many interesting
things in your travels.
Well done also for captures without a tripod!

Now there's a thing; first reaction was to prefer V1 but I am now entirely won over by the sepia which, for me at any rate, suits the subject and conveys just the right feel. The lead and V1 then would be my pick of the day but the others are superb. SmileSmileSmile

I too like the sepia treatment given to the statue, Trev. Do you know who it represents?
Superb set

Version 1 for me Trev, though the 'fence' in the background does take away from the idyllic image, and is far less noticeable in the lead image. Great set of pictures.

I live in Dartmouth and so thoroughly enjoyed your photos. I like your sepia version of the statue very much.
