After a week of struggling with a very heavy head cold and sinus problems it was great to feel well enough by mid afternoon today to get out for a short time. I went to the new RSPB wildlife reserve on Saltholme marsh on the North side of the Tees estuary to pick up some binoculars that I had ordered last weekend.
The place is starting to look impressive although there is still much work to do.
I think this image captures the quirky mix that is wildlife on the Tees estuary - water and space, an industrial skyline and now some impressive new building and provision for access.
Have a good weekend! Mike
