Ruby Throated Hummingbird (F)

By Nick-T
Well this female, have yet to find out what species was occassionally visiting this plant and i really wanted to catch a good shot of her.

BOY these are fast, however with a little patience it payed off. This is the best i could do today but plan on setting a flash light or two up tomorrow to try to get a better one. I kind of like the motion conveyed here rather than a pin sharp freeze.

Hope you like it too

All comments are really appreciated from you guys. You really have helped me in the past. For that i am eternally grateful.

Thanks Steve yes. But at least i remembered to press my shutter button rather than let me know it was there and not press yours. Never laughed as much in a long time.

LOL at your last comment. This is well smart!! there's a bare twig on top of the tree at the bottom of the porch steps where they land a lot and you can get a great shot standing next to the garage with all the green behind. worth a try if you have time and to get one still enough for close feather detail.
Love this

Absolutely super shot, I think it is outstanding.
I hope you don't mind my saying that I think the writing - bottom right is a little intrusive.
