The background looks flat and to be lacking in contrast. It also looks washed out in places, espacially around the bottom of the trees. It makes it look like you've dodged them in and gone a bit too far. Also the bright sunlight is distracting and backs up the assumption it was a high contrast scene you've over corrected.
There is a pipe or thick cable stuck to the right hand tree you could try to clone out (or physically remove) as well.

Steve, the composition of this is not bad but I would suggest you could crop out a little from the bottom to make it less square and also it would remove the bright sunlight which it my view attracts the eye too much.
It's looking a little light and washed out which doesn't really fit with your title of Rumble in the jungle.
This is easily rectified with a little curves adjustment to give it a little more contrast and that deep in the jungle feel.
I've done a mode which shows what I mean.
