Russian Dolls

Russian dolls on display at the Codsall Wood Show in August 1998.

I do have some more photos from this event but they are on colour negatives so I'd need to have a rummage to find them, that's for another time.

these nesting dolls are called Matryoshkasand they're pretty nice and are quite popular with foreign tourists visiting Russia...
curiously, Russians seldom buy them and Russian kids prefer the Barbie or Marvel toy series
