Rusty Post 2

By pamelajean
Iíve decided to do a series of pictures of rust.

I found these at Sandy Point on Hayling Island, Hampshire, where I lived prior to moving to Winchester 7 years ago.
I love their colours, textures and general state of erosion.
I used flash to get the detail.
You can see some more of these markers inside the triangle made by this one.

I understand about channel markers, and suppose these could be referred to as shoreline markers for marine navigation and boating safety. A bit like the road signs of the seaSmile.

I uploaded some versions of this in 2010, but forgot about this particular one.

Grateful thanks to those of you who were interested enough in my previous rusty offering to leave your kind votes, comments and awards.

Now that is rust! I like the echo effect of the posts in background and receding into the distance.

Peek-a-boo composition, showing other markers, adds depth, even while it compounds the geometric effect. The details of the rust are exquisitely rendered. Flat out good.
Great rusty textures

A fabulous double image, the rust is eye catching and beautifully worked, and then one notices that they are framing a line of similar structures--- inspired and brilliant!

I never thought I would be raving about rust but this image is just great!! I love how your framing has created triangles in the top and bottom left-hand corners.....a hint of PythagorasGrinGrinGrin
