I’ve decided to do a series of pictures of rust.
I found these at Sandy Point on Hayling Island, Hampshire, where I lived prior to moving to Winchester 7 years ago.
I love their colours, textures and general state of erosion.
I used flash to get the detail.
You can see some more of these markers inside the triangle made by this one.
I understand about channel markers, and suppose these could be referred to as shoreline markers for marine navigation and boating safety. A bit like the road signs of the sea

I uploaded some versions of this in 2010, but forgot about this particular one.
