There is no reason to say any thing but a grand shot.

Really do like the whole Image # It gels well and fabulous Lime toning to compliment the ferns....

Really nice shot, - a different look to the norm.

Though I like the green tone, - its perhaps a little too much, and with a threshold and curves adjustment Ive made white white and increased contrast in the mod. Tone is still there though a little more subdued.

I also suggest cropping as in the mod, where Ive also added a little space at the bottom to balance the shot. The fern is a nice feature, and the crop places it in a better position compositionally, and a little more sharpening makes it stand out. Flipped horizontally, - but it looks good with the same orientation, - sometimes shots can be more appealing to the eye when they "read" left to right.

Good work,

Hope this is helpful,

Regards

This is a shot I do like especially the colour. Sometimes I wonder if it would have been taken with a fast shutter it may have been a better shot. I'm old fashioned I know, but thats just me.

Mixed feelings for me. Not a blurry water fan, although the fern does rather make is lift from the averag. Maybe a little more fern and a little less water.

I'm not keen on blurry water either and there's a lot of it here!
I've cropped the top and right hand side to lose some water and the rock on the right.
Then simply "auto tone" and "auto colour" in CS5.
I know I've probably gone right away from the effect you were after Ray but this is the route I'd personally take.

what i like about this may not be totally intentional but it looks to me like a landscape with a tree (represented by the fern) and sky represented by the moving water. the moving water is out of focus and the fern sharp. that was either inspirational or accidental Wink and id love to know which. i know the auto focus hunts on fast water. either way it was a happy accident if it was.

if it had been a traditional study of the water then the tones and contrasts are all wrong and the whites too dull but as presented its not so bad. i think the colour balance could be better but i findthe image quite interesting

I really like this Ray, my only critique is that the water is just too blurred, apart from that its great pov and well seen.

I have made a mod for you, emphasised the shadows in the water to give it form and depth, and lightened and sharpened the foreground to add extra interest. Hya.
