Sólfar

Evening All,

it's been a while since my last visit, lack of motivation and a dead computer are part of the reason.

But I'm here now, and back with a shot from my Iceland Trip back in February. This is the Sun Voyager located by Sćbraut, by the sea in the centre of Reykjavík, Iceland.

Sun Voyager (Icelandic: Sólfar) is sculpture by Jón Gunnar Árnason (1931 - 1989). Sun Voyager is a dreamboat, an ode to the sun. Intrinsically, it contains within itself the promise of undiscovered territory, a dream of hope, progress and freedom.

I was going add more, but i'll leave it at that, seem apt for such times.

Other-worldly. I desperately want to see this one day. Never seen this angle on it. Or this light.

Pretty much missed the light to be honest, tried to make the best of what we got. Iceland is Awesome, planning a return trip now.

You may have pretty much missed the light Den but, what you had, you certainly made the most of.

11mm adds the perfect dynamic front to back. Looks great as long as it can be seen this way. TG
