Sad Rabbit

By pamelajean
I'm still on the "wall" theme. This was on the wall of the university's Art Centre in Winchester. It is no longer there. I'm waiting to see if they do something else.
I thought the rabbit fitted in with Easter time and, of course, the umbrella is indicative of the weather we have been experiencing in England.
It's a pity about the white post but it was difficult to avoid.
On close inspection, I realised these rabbits were all the same and not drawn on the wall, but printed on paper and stuck onto the wall, but very effective nonetheless. You can see how the wet weather has affected the paper.
3 versions. I tried these in black and white but didn't like them as much as the colour versions. I only had my Canon compact with me at the time.
Pamela.

Aw, sweet rabbit. I like V3 best as we can see the rabbit better, but what a nuisance that post is! I'd have chosen V2 if it hadn't had been for that. Street furniture can be so inconsiderate. Smile

A nice idea to cover an otherwise stark wall, Pamela, but a shame the rabbit was so sad Sad Carol

Wonderful and doesn't the Rabbit look so under the weather just like all the rest of us. I think the wrinkles in the paper actually add to that effect. V3 is my favourite though I like the fact you can see the "run" (can I say that re Rabbits without bursting into "Run, rabbit, run, rabbit, run, run run .... ? Tongue) of them in V1 really shows the effect as was very nicely.

V1 works best for me because of the angle. A whole row of them, leading us leftwards (which is always a wee bit more disturbing...) and out of the frame.
When I was a student in the 1960s Warwick University campus was still a building site. A long path of concrete slabs led through the mire to the library building.
One dark night persons unknown went out and painted a whole Winnie the Pooh story along the path, so that we could walk backwards reading it. The University spent 2000 having the paving stones turned over. I hope the authorities here are more enlightened.

Unusual for me, I generally put the closer image first.

Quote:what a nuisance that post is!

They should have put some more small rabbits on the post! Or I could have done it for them in PSGrin!

MOIRA: A very sad story. I'm sure my rabbits were done by the art students, to decorate their building, but I was sorry to see them go.

Brian: Yes, another section, further down the line. You are very observant!
Hi Pamelajean, I don't mind the post myself, it's what buildings have. What I like the most is the ways the ears won't fit inside the brolly, p'raps that's why he's sad. Good fun, Regards, Si.
