Saddle Tanker

By paulbroad
Another from our Santa express. The cold weather made the steam rather more obvious. Thought of giving it the sepia treatment as it's an old renovated engine.

The mods are mono conversions, the second with some selective Gaussian blur. The steam will always suggest an atmospheric processing for this kind of subject so that's what I hoped to achieve in the mods.

I'm not going to offer a crit as I think it's a very good shot and this can be the starting point for many types of processing, the mono being one of them.

Like both your mods - it does suite mono - the right age group, so you might expect mono on an original. Going to have a crack at some sepia.

I can't offer much by way of critique Paul but this is very good. That said I do prefer Alan's mono conversion though your sepia could be interesting so please upload.

Nice low angle, sharp and detailed, the atmosphere comes over really well, a cracking shot, certainly as a mono it has it's place, no question but a great job. Thanks BTW for your comment on my dahlia...much appreciated Smile
