By Lillian
He looked worn out...but what pure joy came from this man and violin

On our way out for an evening meal this perfect sound was heard before we saw him
I know there should be less space above him but wanted to include the area

Still drying out the conservatory, but so much lost.
But know there are worse off than I am...but the smell!!!Sad

Sorry I will catch up after my friend Liliane (yes, another LillianWink) goes back to Costa Rica Wednesday evening

but want to share these with you and it also takes my mind off other things.

Beautifully captured, Lillian. A minor niggle but maybe the eye contact does make him look 'posed' rather than naturally playing.

Dave the eye contact is his way of thanking me for the euros I gave him
and that he was pleased for me to also photograph him
a very sad gentleman, but spotlessly clean and the music...will always remember
and that very sad glimmer of a smile
Thank You all

There is a nice but tired sincerity about him in the eyes and face Lillian a very pleasing capture indeed.

Love the composed image Lillian, the look on his face of someone who loves music. Know what you mean about smell! When we bought our Macaw Topaz, we were asked if we were going to keep her in the house, when we said yes the lady said what about the smell! I told her Topaz would get used to it. Being stupid again to try and cheer you up.

Reminds me of the book "The Cellist of Sarajevo".
He looks so sad yet music is probably his salvation.
Lovely image Lillian.

The violinist is nicely separated from his environment, but your choice of including the bg helps to tell the whole story---very skillfully done---

Sorry about the flooding problems!

He does look worn, but obviously takes a pride in his music judging by the condition of that violin! Sorry to hear you suffered flooding recently.
