A couple of weeks ago I went sailing with a lovely model named Jocelyn. She lives in L.A. (California) now, but she used to live in Miami, so when she came back for a week, she contacted me, and we had an opportunity to shoot again. We rented a little sailboat and went out on Biscayne Bay. It was a treat for me, because I had not been on a boat for a long time. It was an extra treat, because I was able to use my new 10-24mm Tamron lens on my Sony A55 with a model for the first time. I wish the city of Miami had been a little closer and more visible in this shot, but overall I think the shoot was a success (especially for a first-time boat shoot). What do YOU think?

Great shot, lovely model, but the horizon is seriously off level.

Never been on a boat? it's rocking. Sea is not flat like asphalt.

Thumbs up Scottelly, it's an amazing shot. I am not sure if Miami or plain horizon would be better but I guess you didn't want that boat trip to come to an end. Jocelyn has great looks and has taken a brave step to pose on the edge of the bow. Being a wide lens, your new purchase has made her hand closest to it looking a bit bigger than it is. But it is still beautiful. And she (sea?) rocks!!!

Hmmm . . . do you all think this rotated crop looks better?

BTW, thanks Pablo!

You are welcome Scottelly. I think the leveled picture looks more natural - to people who have not been very often on a boat - at least, lol.

Yes, it works!

Slightly unconventional, but conveying a great sense of freedom and youth.
