This started out as a shot of one of the wind farms visible in the distance from the top of a hill on the Wirral on the recent EPZ meet. As they were a way out, the contrast was pretty low and so needed some manipulation. I was reminded of an image by Freja with a similar style.

ISO 160, f/9, 1/250s.

Hi Ant, hope you are keeping well. You must have bagged this one from up on Thurgo hill.? Great panorama from up there on a clear day. Nice warm processing, I would have cheated though and cloned out the sunny bit Smile. Hope to catch up with you soon.

oh and btw, mine was inspired by Adam's Seven Men Standing Smile .

ooh, just had another look at the large and it's not a sunny thing, it's a ship (isn't it??). Way cool.

Hi Mand,

Yep, that will be the place and I was looking north. Just checked the full size original and the ship is a Norfolk Line ferry on it's way from Birkenhead to Ireland, I just had to wait until it was in a clear spot between the turbines.

Ant.
