British born actress SALLY DOUGLAS.(1942-2001)Died aged 58.

One of the great supporting actresses of the 20th.Century in British movies,mostly comedy.
Appeared in x6 CARRY ON films,to 'DAD'S ARMY' (1969) 'ON THE BUSES' tv series (1969-1970) and played opposite Frankie Howard in 'UP POMPEII' (1971) etc,etc.

Seen here with her dog,circa 1964,at her home in Richmond,Surrey.

2 Flash heads,one on the camera at half power,the other held high to the left of camera.

This is such a quality portrait. Sally makes a wonderful model, both ordinary yet mesmerising at the same time, and that dog is just a scene stealer with his cheeky expression. No gimmicks, no faffing about, just excellent work.
