Saltburn Sands

So much for summer! At least the rain clouds produce great skies - and it helps when the sand is wet and you get two for the price of one. Horizon is deliberately slightly higher than the middle to highlight the reflections in the sand. On the distant horizon (the beach is over 7 miles long) is Redcar and the newly reopened steels works - nice to see it working again, although glad I live in Derbyshire!

Beautiful image and great sense of scale. I'm surprised it hasn't attracted more votes. Vicky
