It needs a little more contrast to be interesting I think. When its been increased, it can be the basis for a number of abstract interpretations also, - one of which Ive uploaded by using the Extrusion filter in Photoshop.

I agree with Willie that the shot needs more contrast. Sand patterns can make wonderful photos but here I think the effect is too subtle to make much of a lsting impression. I have uploaded a mod for you where I increased the contrast using a curves adjustment. I then got going with the burn tool using a very low opacity level (about 9%) to bring out the subtle shapes.

best wishes

This would go in my 'stock' file to use as a texture but doesn't stand too well on it's own - extra contrast or not. As it stands it needs a subject.

Hi Keith,

What this upload needs is a description to give us a clue as to why you took it, what you were trying to achieve and why you've uploaded it to the critique area, as it stands all we can do is guess.

Hi, Keith your first up-load, takes some doing when you start, but one has to start somewhere, with something. Well done, it will be easier
next time keep going, I think if you see it, take it. If you do not then you start to think i could have just missed a good Photograph.
Sincerely yours Eric.
