Sapsucker looong shot

While the yellow bellied sapsucker lives all over North America, he is a quiet loner. That may be why we see few uploads. He eyed me as a suspect from a long way off. Hoping for a closer image before too long. Seldom do these fight, yet when they do it is very vicious. Worse than a **** fight.

A stunning capture of this wonderfully coloured bird. In many ways he resembles a Great Spotted Woodpecker who has had his head in a jar of Ketchup...
