Sara Before & After

By NickParry
Before and After. One under exposed image, that was alright compositionally, but needed lots of work to bring it up to standard.
Method:
Basic Level adjustment using white picker to set white point on background to bring it whiter.
Spot heal any debris on the floor.
Copy layer, blur it and set layer to hard light.
copy background lay on top of blur layer and use high pass to bring some of the edges back.
Merge the top two layers together and slide opacity to desired value.
Use rubber tool to rub back some detail from the background layer.
Flatten image and dodge and burn eyes and lips to bring a little depth and light to certain areas.
Copy this layer and diffuse glow filter, slide opacity between this layer and the background to desired value. Finally, highlight and shadows played around with ! Smile

How to I get the before and after to work ??

I selected 'before and after' in the upload panel for the after image. It wont let me upload the before image ??

It only shows an 'M' below the image , not a 'B'

Hi Nick, I was going to tell you about the new B & A gallery. Have you tried reporting the problem at the bottom of the page?

Fine shot. Good pose, lovely model. Thanks for the details on how you got from B to A. It's helpful to us PS challenged folk.

Great shot, and great effort with the b and a. I would've cloned out that little bit of bra showing, but the light is 100% improved and I like the distractions you've removed. Well done.

New B&A gallery is good, particularly when you go to the trouble of describing how you processed the shot - very helpful

like this. it actually doesn't look as if you did too much with it so I was quite surprised when I read the description. Very good photo
