Hi Bill firstly welcome to EPZ, in my honest opinion I think that on the back legs of Sasha going up towards her tail it is slightly out of focus I also think maybe if you were to take a shot of her where there is not so much grass and shrubs you would see more of here without distraction and you would end up with a more pleasing shot

Hi Bill, likewise as Neil welcome to epz a great site and one to learn and enjoy from. I agree also the grasses are off putting I have done a very quick mod cloning the grasses out. Just to let you see what it could look like regards Colin

a nice pet image, but as you have send it to the critique gallery, i must say that the placement of the dog is right in the middle of the frame, you can avoid this kind of placement using the golden rule of composition , for any kind of portrait work, the eyes are the most vital part, you can use your in camera flash for the catch light , i agree with the grasses as said above, in addition i must say the image lacks sharpness, if it is not possible in camera, you can enhance it in the post processing by the unsharp mask or smart sharpening tools in the photoshop easily,

wish you best of luck for your future works...

Exposure is good, but would support the crop to move the dog to one side. Not sure the dog is fully sharp?

Welcome to EPZ, Bill and thanks for the upload

This is a lovely dog and he looks in his element in the snow. I agree with the other comments which have already been made. It is a good idea to sharpen the image as a last step before uploading.

I hope you enjoy the site

Best wishes

Catherine
