Satisfy Me

Ist image of the year, for a change is a mono for me this year. Taken in 2016 on the Tyne at the time of the Monica Bavincini Exhibition at the Baltic. Wonder why this title? Made me think of someone who once said to me 'Take pictures to please yourself, not others'...............

An excellent choice of viewpoint and selection of angle, as well as a cracking b&w conversion. Photographing from just this side of the centre of the river offers foreground interest and creates a third curve, alongside the two banks of the Tyne, to contrast with the verticality of the Baltic Centre and neighbouring buildings. Superb composition that invites my U. A.
