Saturday stroll II

By LuzDeNoche
Place Stanislas - a lot was going on : the usual tourists mixed with shoppers, joggers, teenagers hanging out, a wedding party, and even the fire brigade...

It was a sunny morning, but there had been a tiny shower half an hour earlier. The tourists, in summer attire, still sported blue umbrellas notwithstanding. I was going to upload this in colour, but felt that the selective blue colouring emphasized this contradiction.

Have a lurverly day!

For me the fact that the statue is staring out of the frame, seemingly turning its back on the tourists gives the shot a touch of humour too. Dave

Agree entirely about
(a) Stanislas' attitude to the tourists,
(b) the selective colouring, and
(c) the baseball caps.

Fine image, Lucy.

I like this photo for a number of reasons, firstly its nice to see a colour other than red being picked out, secondly it shows that you have spent time on this photo and thirdly I have a love of architecture, guess thats why I am a builder, great shot, thank youSmile
