Saturn, Moon and Venus

By MarcPK
Yesterday evening the rare line up of Saturn (leftmost), the Moon and Venus (shining bright on the right) looked just beautiful. I couldnt resist but take the camera and take a shot.

You can just about make out the outline of the Moon - this is due to the dark shadowed side being illuminated by the blue reflected light from Earth. This phenomenon is call Earthshine.

Many thanks for looking
Marc

The second one I've seen of these three this week.
A good shot.
Saturn and Venus will be very close together at the end of the month, so it would be a good time to try and capture them together.
The Moon won't be around though as it will rise about 22:30.
