Save Our Swimming Pool

By LynneJoyce
I learned today that the section of The Leeds Liverpool Canal next to Hirst Woods is being drained. This is where my boys, Ansel and Ansel, go for their early morning dip every day. This will be a heartbreaking break in theirs and my morning routine. We may well need counselling!!!

So this post is to show some of theirs and their mates' exercise routines in the canal. The opener was chosen because Ansel appears to be pleading. I may well send it to The Canal and River Trust with a request that they restore normality as soon as possible. I have included a few shots of the canal itself without dogs to give context.

As ever the exif applies to only the first shot. The images were taken with the Canon and the compact Panasonic.Thank you for viewing and I hope that you enjoy at least some of these images.

Why would they want to drain it? That seems very strange. I do think Jenns suggestion my be a good idea. Just look how much your dogs love it. If they drain it, you just may have to move. And that's a lot of work.
A beautiful set Lynne.

Oh dear, Lynne, hope you're able to find another section for them to splash about in 😳 I assume they're doing it to clean it up and remove any debris and rubbish thrown into it - I saw this on a section of a canal once whilst on holiday in Amsterdam. Hope they soon have it back to normal. A fine collection of images, the dogs really seem to enjoy it 😃👍
