Back again.
Have been busy, to say the least. Still, at least the outsdie of the house is the colour Mrs. S'blue wantedSmile Being a timber house it takes some painting, especially with two coats. So sorry for all the clicking & running but haven't had the time for anything other than the house and work.

Anyway, a little offering from a performance of the local brass band at the annual fete a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately for this sax player, he didn't have to choose between left and right-hand blow models.Wink

Now, to catch up on some commenting....

As ever, thank you for bothering.

No need to be blowing your own trumpet here Malc with you putting two coats of paint on !!
And did you use a right or left handed paint brush to do it ?
A well detailed close up.

I think the composition here is well thought out, and works beautifully. I like the way the sax is sharp, his music is less sharp, and the music behind is even less so, very effective, like graduating dof. Lol to Mick's comment about the brushes.

That's a most original view of a saxophone, Malc, at least it is for me since I've never tried to play one. Judging by the proportions and the downward turn of the bell joint it must be a baritone. The colour is exceptionally rich while the curves of the instrument contrast well with the rest of the scene. Dof is nicely controlled and the composition really well proportioned.

Love the composition you got here, Malc! Beautiful, and the rich gold color is so vibrant! Clever choice of subject matter.
(I'm guessing you took this with a right-handed camera - it looks like it.)
