Image best viewed whilst playing this beautiful song by this very talented young man. If you have the time watch the You Tube video too.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments. I want to go back too Moira. I am a natural born hugger and it is awful for people not to have that human touch.

Found the image in the archives, hopefully they are still in love and still together...

Now Ivor's comment has really made me laugh, Kath😆😆!!! Great shot, lovely view and would probably look good as a very dark B&W👻

Thanks Ivor, Lin and Angela. Think quite a lot do go there after dark but I wouldn't be one of them! I messed in B/W Angela but taken with my old fixed lens Fuji and the sky was a bit blown out. I may have a faff and repost it. The Abbey is often in B/W.

Thanks all.

Oh thanks for the comment and the big hugs.

You have a good night too.

We have two lovers (presumably) framed by grave stones; all overlooking a beautiful view. A very successful blending of metaphors.

Been here to Whitby many a time, last was in 2016. I've stayed at the Sandbeck, the corner of the next block along the West Cliff, behind the Royal and opposite the little take-away cafe, and offers a great view overlooking the piers 😃
Fine composition here of the lovers framed between the gravestones, wish I was there right now 👍

Thanks Trevor and for the info on hotels. We were staying over in West Burton and had a day in Whitby. Old images taken quite a time ago. Benefit of lockdown is we've had to dig in the archives! Sometimes an image you've overlooked crops up.

You'll be roaming free again soon!
