Scary walk

By Hermanus
My wife and son walking back to the car from a lookout point in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. The scary part is that there is a notice board where the path start saying the parks Board takes no responsibility for people getting out as there are predators around Smile
V2 - Leopard footprints in the cement where the path end at a lookout point Smile One obviously came to inspect when the cement was still wet Smile
Thanx so much to Christine for her treasured UA on my Pincushions yesterday and to all who took the time to vote or comment Smile
Have a super Sunday !

If there is leopards around I don't think I would want to be walking in that park. No matter how intriguing it looks. A lovely shot though.......Sandy

An interesting picture and script, thanks Herman.
That path has night time opportunities for more shots with the overhanging branches.

Wonder what the workman said when they saw the prints in there work ! As for Peters comments about night shots, not a good idea. Nice set of images Herman an insight into a different world to ours, we only have to worry about stray moggies.GrinGrin Peter.

Scary indeed, especially as evidenced by those paw prints!

Night time shot? No thanks. But I would rather see the prints than the leopard hwho made them, immediately after my prints, rather uneven ones, would be seen going in the opposite direction. We saw lion prints circling our shelter once but as we were told "lion never eats where he sleeps" please tell me, even though this was years ago, that the guide was telling us the truth. Wink

Such an interesting place and shot, Herman! A sign like "Beware of the Dog" was enough, then it must be taken just as scary, not more. Your wife and son appear to be so relaxed. Is that a joke?
29 Sep 2013 8:29AM
My word, those twisted branches look scary enough let alone leopard tracks! Well taken, Herman.

Verry scary, but verry brave.I supose you are used to it in Africa.
We see signs here saying "Beware of the Bull" or "Bull in field" ,so it's up to you if you want to go along that field then.

Not a walk for the faint-hearted Herman! Is that a camera your son is holding? Following in your footsteps? Smile

I notice you have sent your Wife and Son first Herman, man after my own heart, been to several Middle Eastern Countries in the past, and always saw the Wives walking several paces behind their Husbands, last time I went the ladies were walking in front of their Husbands, I asked why things had changed and was told LANDMINES!

Gosh, if I saw paw prints that size I think I'd be turning back PDQ: need to keep a wary eye if you venture further there, Herman.

Those trees and what else might be on them wouldn't encourage me to go there on foot...
The sight of those huge paw prints would make me get out of there as fast as I could...
Your good lady in front... Brave lady!
