Scotland again

By accipiter
Once again tied up finishing off for publishers. Sorry if I just click more than usual.
Archive images from my fairly recent trip to Scotland. My tripod had given up the ghost so I was enjoying wandering around without that particular weighty irritation and taking shots handheld.
The weather is indeed a phenomenon in Scotland - on the way home I hit a particularly moody grey day in Glencoe (V1) and the day before had had a damp journey on the road to Mallaig (V2). I found the Commando monument quite impressive and tried to use the occasional light to give it a more moody look ( V3 and V4 ) - hope you like them. A

A fine moody set, Arthur, with the light in V 1 in the f/g contrasting well with the heavy overcast in the far distance.
The Commando Memorial ones at Spean Bridge bring back memories of my last visit there........my Dad was a padre in the Commandos during WW 2.

Four excellent shots that describe Scotland's grandeur and weather perfectly.

I have all but given up on "that particular weighty irritation" too!

Just been up past Glencoe and stayed at Arisaig two weeks ago so great to see what you saw and captured.
I too love V2 and wonder where you took that from.
All superb images.

Wonderful set, I like V2 most, the little yellow flowers brightened up the scene,...
