Really liked this image straight from the thumbnail. The use of selective colouring really appeals to me.I really like the f/g detail/puddle.I also get the feeling that it was very cold when this shot was taken...am I right?

Think I would have been tempted just to confine the colour to the reflection and nothing else, the green in the grass is neither here-nor-there for me!!

yes it was cold Alley.

Good suggestion Paul.

Agree with Paul there ... but great capture; just the same love the selective colouring which adds another dimension to this capture Pete ...

the ideas great but is the reflection strong enough for the treatment? not sure.

Has profound interest Pete - like the idea...

Perhaps would be even more effective if the top digger was almost totally destroyed...?

Love the selective colouring. Thought it may have been one of those night shots at first glance. Nice manipulation.

Effective image - the reflection showing what it used to look like, as it slowly dies and fades to grey, works very well.

can't say I like selective colouring, although I do use it on occasion.
However, in this case it adds a poignant touch, reflecting the great machine's colourful days of glory.
Works well, nice idea, well produced tooSmile

PS, Drove one once...talk about the earth moving...awesome...demolished a toilet block :-E
