Sea Level Rise #39

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Back on my computer.....and the room, on the third floor where it is is not air conditioned....and here we are going through a brutal heat wave--it has been up around 100 during the day for days, and not really cooling off at night....why I do this work. So, I cannot stand to stay here...and I left my iPad in my shop this afternoon...so tonight is show only, to m regret.

Around Port St. Joe's, Florida, we drove past a forest where there had been a large fire...we were guessing a controlled burn to reduce brush. This pod sticking up, many of them, left little dart like seedlings on clothes. We saw these past fires in other places along the coast....perhaps it gets dry and hot, and they want to avoid out of control fires (as we are now seeing out west, and in particular in Alaska).

In England, I'm hiding indoors most of the time, and it's only reached the mid-eighties...
