Seals by the sea

Driving from Picton to Kaikoura. Spotted seal colony on side of the road. Took a few snaps and then spotted this one. I like the way the sun is catching the rock at the sea and you can make out the seals on the original image.

I don't know if its the college computer but its difficult to make out the seals. maybe a bit more light in the foreground. its ok though

i agree with stevearm there should be more light in the foreground to make a more impressive photo.

I agree about the lighting, tweaking the levels should do the trick. I also think it would be worth cropping the bottom to just below the rocks on which the seal is sitting.

I'll have a play with the light and cropping and if it comes out well I'll re-post the modified picture.

Have had a play with the original picture and I just can't get it right.
Was able to isolate the rock but the seal didn't stand out in a not artifical way.
