Thanks. I've got 2 fill lights in this set up. Using them very carefully as I wanted it to feel like just 1 light.

I had no doubts about the crop, either: excellent use of both negative space and what one could call the 'Negative Thirds Rule'...

With the perspective distortion making the top of the head that big, it needs plenty of negative space.

As well as making you look (even) cleverer...

Since this made me look again at the picture, I have to add that you have a far better balance between hair and beard than most possessors of higher-maintenance beards: the trendy thing is to be half-scalped, with a full bush below the chin. (Personally, I go for minimum maintenance of both, and trim when they start to get untidy. I'm lazy...)
