Self Defence

By NDODS
The third in this flower series was captured on an extremely wet and windy day. As you can see from the flowers in the background they were fighting defiantly against the elements, however the flower in the foreground seemed to roll up in a ball and take it on the chin.

Many thanks to all of you who so kindly commented on yesterdays upload. a mixed bags of responses which I appreciated so very much. A very big thank you goes out to Gypsyman (Eric) for presenting me with his UA GrinGrinGrin

I am glad that you enjoy my rather contrived poems, however like photography, I do feel that one can express ones self greatly using the power of the pen.

I hope you all have a great day, and look forward to reading your comments.

I am off to the dentist for a trial fitting of my new teeth so I shall be out for a while.

Regards Nathan GrinGrinGrin

The f/g bloom does seem to be holding steadier than the others, and the overall grey tones fit with the conditions you describe, Nathan.
An interesting take on a day not best suited to flower photography but resulting in an image that is quite original.

The colours are wonderful Nathan - those whites, greys and greens all work well together. Glad you found one flower which wasn't put off by the weather.

One for the wall Nathan, beautifully captured regardless of the bad weather and those in the movement of those in the background enhance the delicate bloom in front ... Carol GrinGrinGrin
To use the moving flowers in the background was a good call Nathan, and an idea that works so well thinking outside of the box well done
