Self Portrait 1

By CathyT
Trying out a different technique.
Tried to keep the skin tones more natural without a heavy blur. Also used a photo filter 'underwater'to give a more muted look.

For the eyes, a screen layer for the whites and a colour dodge for the iris.
Hope the eyes aren't overdone, let me know what you think of the processing.

well I think the eyes are spot on, clear as crystal and that overall focal distance serves well over the rest of the shot too.
I like the one you've put in your personal info area too.

Nope...41 maybe, but not 40.

;op

Eyes are better - more punch to them, but can't help but feel it's a little dark and flat. It's also got a blue colour cast to it.

Composition and pose is great.

Did a little mod...and no I haven't made you look like plastic fantastic.

The colour correction is a bit clunky as I've never really got on with CS2's approach. Whilst it sorts your white shirt it makes you look a bit red in the face, but it was the best I could do.
