I've too have been playing around with Self portraits lately! SO much fun

That's a good effort, in difficult lighting. Play with Fill Flash to assist you, as i'm sure you're not that pale.
(Cloudy or Shade WB adds free warmth)

I'm guessing the camera was quite close to you there??
Try positioning the camera it about 15 feet away, (maybe slightly less if you're limited to 55mm) zoom in then nail it. The definition and proportions will be a lot better.

I like how the window sill guides your eyes into the shot and your eyes look very sharp, which is a must :0)

A lovely shot. I can't fault it. The lighting is good and the clarity excellent. The viewer really beams on your eyes, which is what it's all about! Fab Smile

Its quite good. A tip though, - dont use a wide angle for portraits so close to the subject as it distorts proportions quite badly. Try your next one at 50mm and see the difference.

Good effort but the wrong focal length has made disproportionate elements. A longer lens of 50mm would be much better. The arm doesn't look right, reminds me of one I took of myself where I appeared to be punching myself in the face GrinGrin
