Selfheal...

By Greyheron
Taken in the garden this morning just before the grass was cut - I love seeing these and other wild flowers growing freely in the lawn...

Selfheal is a common herb both here in Britain and throughout Europe - it has a long history of medicinal use - the leaves are traditionally used applied to wounds to promote healing.

The camera was resting on my small beanbag - selective focussing on the flower head through the grass giving a nice blurred fore/background...

Nicely done Mike, looks good on the iPad on a very wet and windy crossing on the Isle of Wight ferry.Don't think the camera will get to see daylight today Sad
