It would be helpful to know what enhancements you made, as the colours look oversaturated. Always be careful not to overdo adjustments.

The image is also quite small - you can upload larger versions and the site will resize them to fit the screen.

A bright sunset is always appealing to the eye but doesn't always translate to a good image.

The trees do make for a good silhouette but they are small in the frame and positioned quite low too.
If you could have got closer to the trees so they stood out against the sky more then that would provide more impact.
The red sky, unless it's a spectacular cloud formation such as a mackerel sky, is more often a supporting backdrop to a strong foreground subject.

You do like sunsets, don't you, Dan!

And so do I, and looking at my early pictures, there are a lot of them, and plenty of clouds, too.

This is striking, and - as Keith says - rather lacks shape and form, though there's plenty of colour.

This does look really hyped up -there's a halo round the trees, which almost always indicates that a shot has been very heavily processed. It's fun to play with digital filters and so on, but for the majority of pictures, it's a good idea to aim to do as little processing as possible. Less is more, like a little black dress or a single malt.

And, as Keith says, the file is very small, robbing you of most of the quality in there. You could have a file three times as long on the side, nine times as big in area uploaded, and that would probably look better, technically.

The image as uploaded is tiny, just 634 x 403 pixels. If you are unsure about resizing for the site, upload the full frame and the site's system will resize automatically.

Apart from that, comments as above, plus - the white streak of cloud is too short to contribute to the composition, for me it's a distraction and I would prefer a tighter crop.

And this is simply about presentation - the image merges into the black background so that we don't see the overall proportions of land to sky. Better with a narrow frame.

I shall try to demonstrate with a modification.

One great problem with sunsets and sun rises is that they look really impressive to the eye. However, they almost always need some kind of compositional element to act as a focal point, with the sunset as a striking background.

That is lacking here. The trees have no formal compositional value so do not act as a decent subject. When you see a cracking sky, either look for something to act as a formal subject, leading into the picture, or shoot just the sky and keep it in a file of similar images to add to other shots.
