Sgorr Tuath Summit Sunrise

By jamesgrant
After a peaceful night camping at the top of Sgorr Tuath we were well rewarded with a stunning sunrise looking over Assynt...This shot was taken from next to the summit with the faboulous Torrodonian sandstone as a foreground looking over to Assynt with the mountains (left to right) of Stac Polliadh, Suilven, Cul Mor and Cul Beag looking very inviting.

The effort of getting up there and camping overnight was well rewarded when you managed to capture this stunning scene, one which very few of us will ever appreciate from this viewpoint.

Great image of a truly wonderful landscape of loch and mountain. Well done for being up there at the crack of dawn. I made it to the top of Sgurr an Fhidhleir in '73 to gain similar views, but only by the middle of the day when the light was flatter.
