This was taken early yesterday morning near my place of work in Shabwah province, Yemen. The clouds roll up the wadi from the Arabian sea and then burn off in a dusty haze later in the day.

The central highlands of Shabwah are normally dry and arid but rains arrive for a brief period during the monsoon season. The lone tree on the limestone slab is a Yemen Dragon Tree which bleeds a red sap when cut. This in now an endangered species due to overcutting (the sap is valued as a dye and for medicinal use).

We get this low coastal fog in California too. I like the rugged high view.

Wow, that is some view. As Patrick says, it reminds me of Northern California (although not the terrain). Thanks for sharing...
